The City of Angels may not be the top place that comes to mind when you think of family fun, but it has so much to offer. From Disneyland to the beach to the Hollywood sign, there’s fun in every corner of LA. Here are some of the best attractions to check out while you’re there.
Griffith Observatory
If you’re looking for the best view in the valley, look no further. The Griffith Observatory offers a view of the Hollywood sign, the Pacific Ocean and Downtown LA. This free attraction has a planetarium inside where you can learn all about the stars and cosmos. There are telescopes all around the grounds so the best time to visit the observatory is after dusk. If you’re an old school movie buff, Rebel Without a Cause with the late James Dean, was filmed at Griffith Observatory in 1955!
Disneyland and California Adventure
Both of these parks are staples to visit in California. Disneyland and California Adventure offer fun for the whole family with days worth of activities. If you like roller coasters make sure to check the Incredicoaster at Pixar Pier or enjoy a whirlwind ride through Space on Space Mountain, or canoe through the wilderness on Tom Sawyer’s Adventures. Don’t forget to indulge in a turkey leg or two. Enjoy a whole day of family fun at these two amusement parks!
Hollywood Walk of Fame
Have a favorite celebrity you’re dying to get a picture with? Well you might not run into them in Hollywood, but you can take a picture with their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame! The Hollywood Walk of Fame spans over 15 blocks and includes more than 2,600 celebrity stars. There’s also plenty of vendors selling merchandise. Pro Tip: you can also take a bus tour of the Hollywood Walk of Fame to beat the crowds and don’t forget your cameras!
